Copenhagen Main Library

Copenhagen Main Library is the largest public library in Denmark.
 

Ground floor:

  • Comics for adults

  • Loan machines

  • Returning of loans takes place in the return robot
     
  • 1 free PC you can use without pre-booking. You are allowed to use the PC for 15 minutes per session. You cannot print from the free PC.
     
  • The Library Café. In the Democratic Coffee Bar you can buy coffee, tea, sandwiches and a selection of cakes.
     

1st floor:

  • Information  answers your questions regarding loans, returns, fees etc. This is also where you register as a new borrower, return materials that do not fit in the return robot or pay for prints, overdue loans etc.

  • Librarian's Desk
     
  • Fiction in Danish and several foreign languages. You will also find books and other materials on literature.
     
  • Audio books
     
  • Biographies
 

2nd floor:

  • Children's & youth department: Children's librarians will help you find your way in the large selection of children's and youth literature.

3rd floor:

  • Non-fiction Books and other materials regarding the liberal arts, social science, natural science, information technology, journalism, psychology, politics, economy, law, medicine, cook books, travel literature et al.​

  • Print & Copy Zone.

  • Free PC's you can use by booking.
     

4th floor: 

  • Periodicals and magazines.

  • Danish and foreign newspapers in print and access to thousands of newspapers and magazines in foreign languages through the database "Press Reader".

  • A small reference section is found here as well.
