Starting in October: New reading club for foreigners

27 september 2012 af Christine Nederlund
Do you love reading? And would you like to improve your Danish? In the new reading club at the Øbro Jagtvej Library you can enjoy good books, get a better grip on the difficult Danish language and improve your cultural understanding.

Together with four other foreigners and a trained Danish linguist you will meet up once a month to discuss the Danish or international book which you’ve read since your last meeting. Naturally, the books are in Danish and you will also be speaking in Danish.

The group chooses which book to read and the library will lend you the book one month before the meeting. Participating and lending the books is free of charge.

Write to Christine atchnede@kff.kk.dk to sign up or hear more – the first meeting is in October.

When: Once a month – choose between the first Tuesday (6-8pm), Wednesday (6-8pm) or Monday and Thursday in the daytime – times to be decided.

Where:Øbro Jagtvej Library, Jagtvej 227, 2100 Copenhagen Ø

Who:All foreigners who have reached module 4-5 on Danish 3
