The libraries of Copenhagen offer you information and advice on a wide range of services.


The library on your doorstep

Borrowers who are unable to visit a branch in person may request home delivery free of charge. Those who prefer not to visit a branch can request home delivery, but a service fee will apply.

Legal aid

Check with these libraries for details about their legal aid service: Bibliotekshuset, Christianshavn, Nørrebro, Solvang Centret, Sydhavnen, Valby and Østerbro.


Homework Help

Check with these libraries for details about their homework help services:  Nørrebro, Sundby, Vesterbro and Lærkevej.


KVIK Citizen Service

This service can be accessed from five different libraries: Copenhagen Main Library, BIBLIOTEKET Rentemestervej, Kulturstationen Vanløse and Øbro Jagtvej Library.

Below is a list of services provided by the KVIK Citizen Service Centres. As much of our online self-service is in Danish, we will help you fill in forms and applications.

You can:

  • Apply for a passport
  • Apply for NemId
  • Order a health insurance card
  • Get help with online self-service

Public Nurse

At the Christianshavn branch a nurse will be present at specific times.

Consumer advice services

The Main Library, as well as the Nørrebro, Sydhavnen, Valby and Vanløse branches, offer consumer advisory services free of charge in the areas of purchase guidance, consumer rights and complaints procedures.
