Library Notices

Read about library notifications and how to enable messages from the library.

The Copenhagen Libraries no longer use letter mail but you can select to receive notifications via email, text and our Library App.

Notifications from the library include the following:

Loan holds ready for pickup.
Notification 3 days prior to the return date for loans.
Notifications concerning recall of loans 10 days after the return date has been exceeded.

Email and Text

How to register for notifications:

If you are a registered patron sign in to our website and go to "Min konto" to register your email and mobile number under "Brugerprofil".
You can change your contact information any time you choose. Please remember to select "Gem" to save your changes.
If you no longer wish to receive notifications you can simply delete your email and mobile number under "Brugerprofil".

Library App

When you download the Library App you will be asked if you wish to receive notifications.
Notifications can be easily turned off in the app by selecting the gear icon in the side menu.

Missed Notifications

Missed notifications can be caused if your phone has been turned off for a long period of time or if your inbox is full.
Library notices are sent as a courtesy.
Failure to receive a notice does not absolve the patron from any fines or fees attached to their patron record.
