Tracing Echoes
What do we carry with us when a sense of home starts to dissolve?
Where does tradition end, and transformation begin?
Tracing Echoes is a 45-minute contemporary dance duet exploring how memory, cultural roots, and displacement shape our sense of identity. The piece portrays the transformation of two characters and reflects the fragile balance between honoring the past - with a sense of nostalgia - and letting go of outdated traditions. Moving through the space between longing and becoming, it asks: When do traditions lose their meaning? When does adaptation become disorientation? And how do we navigate the fragile process of relocation? Set against the backdrop of rising nationalism and social polarization, Tracing Echoes highlights the emotional and psychological challenges in shaping identity and redefining oneself in today's Europe.
