Amy Daws er kendt for sine populære romancebøger, der kombinerer intens kemi, humor og stærke følelsesmæssige bånd. Hendes historier kredser om forelskelse, fællesskab og relationer, der både udfordrer og forandrer karaktererne, og hun har opnået en stor og dedikeret læserskare verden over. På dansk er hun blandt andet kendt for Harris Brothers-serien, der foregår i et britisk fodboldmiljø og forener sports romance med varme, humor og dybe følelser. I april 2026 udkommer Daws’ nye bog “Bjergtaget” på dansk. “Bjergtaget” indeholder alt det en god small-town romance skal: Grumpy/Sunshine-energi og masse spice.  

I samtale med journalist og romanceforfatter, Johanne Bille kan du opleve Amy Daws fortælle om sit forfatterskab, og om at skrive romance i dag. Hvordan skaber man kærlighedshistorier, der rammer læserne følelsesmæssigt? Hvad kendetegner moderne romance, og hvorfor fylder genren mere end nogensinde før?

Om de medvirkende 

Amy Daws er amerikansk forfatter, som skriver nutidig romance og har ligget på Amazons top 25 liste over bedst sælgende romance-forfattere. Hun har skrevet over 20 bøger, og i Danmark er hendes bøger solgt i godt 100.000 eksemplarer på tværs af formater. Hendes nyeste roman “Bjergtaget” handler om gnaven vildmarksmand som søger en rugemor, som kan føde hans barn, og det ender selvfølgelig lykkeligt, med en hed forelskelse. Hvordan bliver bøgerne, vi læser, til? I arrangementsrækken ’Bag om bøgerne’ bliver vi klogere på bøgernes vej fra idé, over skriveproces, til udgivelse. Vi bevæger os ind i forfatternes skrivehuler, redaktørernes værksteder og forlæggernes kontorer. Vi giver os god til at dvæle, nørde og være nysgerrige og der er altid plads til spørgsmål fra publikum.

Arrangementet foregår på LIVE på Københavns Hovedbibliotek. 4. sal, Store scene. 

Arrangementet begynder kl. 17:00 og slutter kl. 18:00. 

Arrangementet er gratis og uden pladsbilletter. Bemærk, at udsynet til scenen er begrænset fra visse pladser. Derfor vi anbefaler, at man kommer i god tid. Vi åbner til salens siddepladser kl. 16.30.

What you can experience 

Amy Daws is known for her popular romance novels that combine intense chemistry, humor, and strong emotional bonds. Her stories revolve around falling in love, community, and relationships that both challenge and transform the characters, and she has gained a large and devoted readership worldwide. In Danish, she is among other things known for the Harris Brothers series, set in a British football environment, which blends sports romance with warmth, humor, and deep emotions. In April 2026, Daws’ new book “Bjergtaget” (“Nine Month Contract” in English) will be published i Danish - a novel that contains everything a great small-town romance should have: grumpy/sunshine energy and plenty of spice. 

In conversation with Johanne Bille, Amy Daws will talk about her authorship and about writing romance today. How do you create love stories that resonate emotionally with readers? What characterizes modern romance, and why is the genre more popular than ever?

Amy Daws is an American author who writes contemporary romance and has ranked on Amazon’s Top 25 list of bestselling romance authors. She has written more than 20 books, and in Denmark her books have sold over 100,000 copies across formats. Her latest novel, "Nine Month Contract”, tells the story of a grumpy wilderness man who is looking for a surrogate to carry his child - and, of course, it ends happily, with a steamy romance.

Behind the Pages 

How do the books we read come into being? In the event series Behind the Pages, we explore the journey of books from idea, through the writing process, to publication. We step into the authors’ writing dens, the editors’ workshops, and the publishers’ offices. We take the time to linger, geek out, and be curious—and there is always room for questions from the audience. 

Practical information 

The event takes place LIVE at Copenhagen Main Library, 4th floor, Main Stage. 

The event starts at 5:00 PM and ends at 6:00 PM. 

The event is free and does not require tickets. Please note that visibility of the stage is limited from certain seats. We therefore recommend arriving in good time. Seating in the hall opens at 4:30 PM. 

Directions 

From the Main Library’s main entrance, you can reach the 4th floor in the following ways: 

Take the elevator, which you will find on your right as you enter the Central Hall from Krystalgade. The stage is to the right as you exit the elevator. 

Take the stairs, which you will find on your right as you enter the Central Hall from Krystalgade. Follow the stairs up to the fourth floor. The stage is to the right as you step onto the floor. 

Follow the escalators up to the 3rd floor. At the end of the last escalator, there is a staircase on your right leading up to the 4th floor. Turn right to reach the stage area.
