Use the library app 'Biblioteket' to share your library books with friends and family
Once you’ve turned the last page of a wonderful book and felt the joy, wonder, or adventure it offered, why not pass that feeling on? Instead of returning it to the library, you can hand it straight to someone else who’s ready to dive into its magic*.
With the Scan and Borrow feature (Scan og lån) in the Biblioteket app, sharing your reading experience has never been easier. The person borrowing the book simply needs to scan it—and then let the magic begin.
Once the book is scanned in the app, you’ll receive a return receipt via email, while the person borrowing the book will get a loan receipt. It’s simple, convenient, and hassle-free!
*Please note that this function does not work if there is a loan hold on the book. In such cases, the book must be returned to the library before it can proceed to the next person in line.
