About Sundby Library

In the heart of Amagerbro, Sundby Library stands out as part of the Community Center Kvarterhuset. The library spans the two lower floors with the children's section on the ground floor and the adult section on the first floor.

About the Library

Sundby Library is always buzzing and one of Copenhagen's most popular libraries, open every day of the week. Here, you can borrow books and movies, magazines and films for both adults and children.

The meeting rooms and community hall at Kvarterhuset also provide a venue for concerts, author lectures, children's theater, reading clubs, maternity mornings, knitting club, art exhibitions, listening club, and much more. There is also a cozy café on the ground floor.

On specific weekdays, Kvarterhuset offers homework help, legal assistance, and IT help – all driven by volunteers. Kvarterhuset also houses the Citizen Service, Miljøpunkt Amager, and AmagerØst Lokaludvalg (Local Committee).

During the summer, there’s outdoor concerts on a small stage next to Kvarterhuset and a small playground for children.
