About Christianshavn Library

Christianshavn Library is a small, vibrant library in cozy premises, with a view over Christianshavn Square and Canal. 

The library is open every day and offers a wide selection of books, magazines, and newspapers. 

About the Library 

Christianshavn Library is located on the first floor in the Lagkagehuset in one of Copenhagen's oldest districts - close to the Metro, bus, and the square - and there is an elevator.

You’re welcome at the library whether you want to sit and read or walk among our shelves and book displays to find your next reading experience. We provide guidance and reading inspiration - service hours are available on the library's website. 

If you need a refreshment, you can buy various hot drinks from our coffee machine. 

Of course, you can also borrow and return books. 

The children's area is newly furnished and expanded to the delight of families. There is obvious joy in being surrounded by books and letters. We have stroller parking.
