Service for citizens who cannot visit the library themselves.
"Biblioteket Kommer" is a free service for citizens residing in the Municipality of Copenhagen who, due to age, disability, or long-term illness, are unable to visit the library themselves.
What can you borrow?
You can borrow the same items as if you were visiting the library in person, such as books, audiobooks, large print books, music, and films. The materials can be selected in the following ways:
- You can call us about specific titles, authors, etc. and we will place the loan holds for you
- Or you can search and place your own loan holds on the website or in the Biblioteket app
Practical information
- You can sign up by calling 33 66 30 00 on weekdays between 10:00-18:00 or on Saturdays between 10:00-14:00.
- In addition to providing your CPR number, name, address, and telephone number, you will be asked about the types and quantities of materials you wish to have delivered.
- Once your first materials are packaged, we will contact you to arrange the first delivery date. Along with these materials, you will receive a list of dates for the next six months.
For those who make their own loan holds
We encourage you to use the service wisely, and we reserve the right to regulate the number of loans and reservations if they are disproportionately large, limiting other citizens' use of the library or are very resource-intensive for the libraries.
Remember, you can always save materials you're interested in on your wish list and only reserve them when you're ready to borrow them.
