Answers to frequently asked questions about payment of late fines and replacement fees.

If you have received late fines and/or replacement fees at The Copenhagen Libraries, they can be viewed on Mit Betalingsoverblik. Here you can get an overall overview of and pay for all fines and replacement fees as well as other debts you may owe The Copenhagen Municipality. If you need to pay a late fine and/or replacement fee, you can do so via Mit Betalingsoverblik at kk.dk, Netbank or in the bank.

Why does it say I still need to pay?

Note that it can take up to 72 hours before your payment shows up on biblioteket.kk.dk and in the Biblioteket app. Therefore, you might experience that fines and fees are still visible on your account when you log in to bibliotek.kk.dk. On My Payment Overview you can always see an updated status of your payments to the library and The Copenhagen Municipality.

Why have you chosen the new payment solution?

The purpose is to collect all payments to the municipality in one place, it gives a full overview of the municipality's receivables and is less costly.

How do I pay?

Payment of bills must be made via Copenhagen Municipality's My Payment Overview, Netbank with MitID or at the bank. If you have questions about the payment itself, you must contact Finance & Payments on tel. 70 80 70 10 or via the contact form at www.kk.dk/mitbetalingsoverblik

If I don't have MitID?

If you do not have a MitID, a giro card will be sent by post, which can be paid at the bank.

Can I pay via my library account?

No, but from bibliotek.kk.dk there will be a reference to Mit Betalingsoverblik.

Can I pay my fees and fines at the library?

Icon Description

No, you cannot pay your fees and fines by turning up at one of Copenhagen's libraries. Instead, you can pay through your online bank, physically at your bank or on Mit Betalingsoverblik. 
If you would like to pay directly with cash, you can do this through your bank or by turning up at Borgerservice at Nyropsgade 7, 1602 København V. Remember to book an appointment before you turn up. You can do this by following the link to Borgerservice.

Will my payments appear on my library account?

(NOTE. however, it can take up to 72 hours before your payment is updated on the website.)

I want to complain about a late fine or replacement fee

If you want to complain about a late fine or replacement fee from the library, you must send an email to The Copenhagen Libraries via the contact form at bibliotek.kk.dk. 

The payment deadline will apply even if you have sent an appeal. 

If you want to be sure that you will not receive a reminder fee while you wait for a response, you must contact Finance and Payments on 70 80 70 10.
