How to Find Articles

Ordering articles on bibliotek.kk.dk. This could be, for example, Danish newspapers, magazines, and yearbooks.

How to search for an article: 

  1. Search for the article you want to read by typing the title in the search field 
  2. You can narrow down different material types in the top menu, e.g. "Articles" 
  3. Click on the article 
  4. Expand the field "Details" 
  5. In the field "Findes i" you can see in which journal the article was printed 
  6. In the field "Omfang" you can see which pages in the journal the article is on and how many pages it consists of
  7. You need this information to search further and order your article 

How to find a journal: 

  1. To find the journal/magazine your article was in, you must now search for the title you found in the field "Findes i" 
  2. It can be advantageous to use the facet "Aviser og tidsskrifter" at the top of the page to narrow down the material  type
  3. When you have found the journal, select the year and the edition in which the article was published by clicking on the drop-down menu below the title at the top of the page 
  4. Now you can place a loan hold on the journal in which the article was originally published, or you can find it on the shelf , if available 

If you still cannot find the article, you can try to find it on the national library site bibliotek.dk or by contacting the Copenhagen Libraries. 

Newspaper articles can be accessed via Infomedia, but this online service can only be accessed using your own PC or a Citizen PC at one of Copenhagen's Libraries.

How to use Infomedia

Infomedia is a large newspaper database with full-text articles from a large number of Danish newspapers and magazines. 

If you are in one of our libraries, you can access Infomedia by logging into our WIFI network "Publikum" on your own device. 

Many of the articles can also be read via Bibliotek.dk which is accessible from home. 

Infomedia is a large newspaper database with articles from a large number of Danish newspapers. The articles go back to approx. 1990 - for some, back to 1985. In addition, it is possible to read telegrams from the news agencies. The database also contains a number of journals such as Ingeniøren, Landbrugsavisen, Computerworld and Dagens medicin. 

However, there is no access to subscription articles from e.g. BT Plus. 

In the latest update of Infomedia, it is also possible to find individual articles in regular newspaper format with images/illustrations in pdf format. Infomedia also provides access to the Name Database with biographies and portraits of a large number of more and lesser known people.
