About Øbro Jagtvej Library

Located between Fælledparken and komponistkvarteret (the Composer's Quarter), you'll find the centrally located Øbro Jagtvej Library. An inviting local library for the outer Østerbro area where you can find exactly what interests you among our many exciting books and cultural offerings and activities.  
 

About the Library

Øbro Jagtvej Library opened in 1922 and has been located in several places in outer Østerbro until it moved to its current address at Jagtvej 227 in 1953. Here, the over 100-year-old 4-story building houses a vibrant library and Citizen service. 

On the ground floor, you will find the newly furnished children's section. On 1st floor you’ll find Citizen Service, book displays and the opportunity for borrowing and returning of books. On the library's 2nd and 3rd floors, you will find study spaces and room for contemplation. The 2nd floor also houses the library's adult section. 

The library has a wide collection of literature and offers literary experiences for children and adults with a focus on the joy of reading, community, and initiative.
